OSS Retail Academy is an intensive week residential programme delivered in Keble College at Oxford University. The programme is designed to challenge and develop leading managers across the international retail industry. OSS Retail Academy, formerly Oxford Summer School is now powered by the BRC and is recognised as one of the leading external development courses within the retail industry.
In 2019 I joined the Academy Director team at OSS in coaching a group of delegates, supporting in delivering the content of the Academy. I had been invited to join the Group Director team by the Chairman of the 2019 academy, Terry Lees. The content focuses on McQuaig psychometric development, commercial planning and trading, financial management, branding and marketing, and omnichannel business planning. As part of the AD team I was capable of leading the 2019 delegates in completion of the course, and gaining a City & Guild's qualification in retail management.
In 2020 I moved into a slightly different position in which I develop and write content for two of the topics, Commercial Planning and Trading, and Financial Management. In this role I work with professionals in the retail industry to tailor and innovate content for future delegates.
